Privacy
This site counts visits so I can see what people read, without ads, third-party trackers or storing your IP address.
Updated 3 October 2026
What I record
When you visit a page, the site's own script records:
- the page you viewed, and roughly how long you actively read it
- where you came from: the website that linked here, or a tag like
?src=linkedinin the address - your country, region and city, worked out from your connection by the hosting provider
- your device type, browser and operating system
- clicks on links that leave the site, and a few other actions (opening a project, sending the contact form)
What I don't record
- No IP addresses. To count unique visitors, your IP address and browser are mixed with a secret and turned into a one-way code that changes every day, so I can't recognise you from one day to the next.
- No names or email addresses, unless you send them through the contact form.
- No advertising or third-party analytics scripts.
Cookies and storage
zx_sid: groups the pages of one visit. It ends after 30 minutes without activity.zx_link: if you arrive through a link I shared, it remembers which one for up to 10 minutes.- Your colour theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage.
None of these are used for advertising or shared with anyone.
The contact form
Messages you send (name, email, subject, message) are stored so I can read and answer them, and kept until I delete them. They may also be forwarded to my own email inbox.
How long data is kept
Detailed visit records are deleted after 90 days. After that only daily totals remain (for example, "40 views of the projects page"), which can't be traced to a person.
Where it's stored
The site is hosted on Vercel and the data is stored with Supabase (Singapore region).
Your choices
- Blocking scripts or cookies stops the visit counting; the site works the same.
- To ask what's stored about a message you sent, or to have it deleted, email tasdid110@gmail.com.
